We try to avoid photographing weddings. It is a role that requires incredible patience and skills which differ from the creative process attached to studio or landscape shots. Although it is a very profitable area of the trade, it has never really appealed to us. However, we had the pleasure of attending the wedding of a good friend recently, and while the “official” photographer was taking photos we saw this opportunity develop. We grabbed a camera and ran (well, walked quite quickly) over to where they were shooting and snapped the couple against the backdrop of a beautiful sunset. Sometimes when photographing things it pays to take a step back and see the bigger picture. This is not a traditional bride and groom photo, but both parties love it. We hope that you like it too.
